Hemodialysis Support Program
At ATHANI, we understand the challenges faced by individuals with kidney failure. Our Hemodialysis Support Program aims to provide comprehensive care and assistance to those undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
How Hemodialysis Works
During hemodialysis, the patient’s blood is drawn out of their body and into a dialyzer, a specialized filter that removes impurities. The cleaned blood is then returned to the patient’s body. This process is typically performed in a hospital or dialysis center, 3-4 times a week, with each session lasting around 3-4 hours.
Benefits of Hemodialysis
- Removes waste products: Hemodialysis effectively eliminates toxins and excess fluids from the blood.
- Regulates electrolytes: The treatment helps maintain a healthy balance of essential minerals like potassium, sodium, and calcium.
- Improves overall health: By removing waste products and excess fluids, hemodialysis helps alleviate symptoms like fatigue, swelling, and nausea.
